Sketch to Stage
This class will take you on a journey into the world of comedy sketch writing and performing. Whether you're a complete newbie or just looking to refine your skills, this course uses the tools of comedy improv and easy writing exercises to help you discover the art of turning everyday moments and wild ideas into comedy sketches that you will perform on stage. Join us, have some fun, and let your unique voice shine through in the process!

Instructor: Emily Harnett
About the Instructor:
Emily Harnett (they/them) is thrilled to be teaching at PHIT. Emily is a life long actor, writer, comedian and professional laugher. They earned their BFA in Acting from Point Park University. Emily previous studied at Emerson College’s Comedic Arts program. They currently write for their sketch channel which is launching in the next few month and perform stand up around Philly. They are passionate about teaching through play, exploration and acceptance.
